The Cube: Pop-Up Restaurant atop and near European Landmarks

"The Cupe" is a lightweight restaurant that could easily be assembled and disassembled in order to travel around Europe and find a new location on top of important monuments and spectacular locations. Designed by Park Associati for Electrolux, the 140 sq meter restaurant is covered in a white, laser-cut, aluminum skin that works to maximize daylight and views while reducing solar heat gain. In each location, top chefs from the area would be asked to prepare special menus and cook for clients. It started in Brussels on the arc of the Parc du Cinquantenaire. Now "The Cube" is in Milano - open until April 26, 2012. Next stops will be London and Stockholm.
